Escaping inmate shot dead in Huye

{An inmate in Huye prison, Nakabeza Théophile, 30, has been shot dead at Ngoma court of low instance as he fought the prison guard trying to escape.}

The spokesperson of Rwanda Correctional Service, Hilary Sengabo said that the inmate tried to escape after receiving a two-year sentence. He had already spent seven months in prison.

Ngoma court of low instance sentenced him to two years over theft related crimes.
