Trouble is cooking up in the EPEMR church (Eglise Pentecotiste de l’Emmanuel) following accusations of promotion of ethinic divisionism.
Eight high ranking members of EPEMR Church have so far distanced themselves from the church and its leader Pastor Gasarasi Samson alleging deeper ethnic tensions.
EPEMR (Eglise Pentecotiste de l’Emmanuel) is a breakaway faction from Christians of Association de Eglise des Pentêcote du Rwanda (ADEPR).
ADEPR was established in Rwanda as the Free Swedish Mission (Mission Libre Suédoise).
In a statement released today which IGIHE has seen, the eight members have denounced the church accusing it of promoting ethnic divisionism, propagation of evangelism that seems to support state enemy agenda, using funds from unknown sources and operating in secrecy.
The statement signed by eight members sends a strong message to EPEMR members to be careful and distinguish between good and bad and not to fall in a trap.
In an exclusive interview with IGIHE, the EPEMR treasury pastor Sinzabakwira Elie confirmed the intrigue within the church which he accuses of committing three crimes including; ethnic divisionism, some EPEMR members wearing clothes with FDLR prints, using funds from unknown sources.
The eight members from EPEMR church that have announced their exit has not been influenced by ADEPR.
Pastor Gasarasi Samson. He says he is not the spokesperson of EPEMR and wasnt aware of the eight founder members had left the church.He noted however, that everyone has a right to join and leave the church.
Speaking to IGIHE exclusively, he denied there was any form of ethnic divisionism in the church and that there is no prophesy that aims at supporting the state enemy(FDLR).
He also noted that church recieves funding from contributions generated from its members.
