The winner takes home 4 million Rwf in cash price, KLM airline tickets and six months of free access to training and mentorship.}
This Wednesday night, Heaven restaurant in Kiyovu will set the stage for one of the biggest Global Entrepreneurship Week events in Kigali, when 10 of Rwanda’s best young entrepreneurs will get on stage, aiming to convince a jury of experts that their business has what it takes to win this year’s REAL Fina Bank Entrepreneurship Award.
All week long, 10 high-potential Rwandan start-ups have undergone intensive training, mentoring and coaching provided by Educat and partners to kick-start their businesses and get the chance to become Rwanda’s next entrepreneurial superstar.
CEO of Educat, Andreas Noerlem Christensen states: “These ten entrepreneurs have extremely high potential and we are thrilled to get to work with change-makers of this calibre. That is also why we will continue to work closely with them even after this award, at least for the next six months through our extensive training programs. They are the future of Rwanda, no doubt about that.”
The ten finalists represent various business sectors, ranging from agriculture and food processing to fashion and ICT. They each get four minutes to pitch their business to a jury of experts, who will select three finalists based on criteria such as business concept, scalability, entrepreneurial DNA and bigger impact.
The winner will be announced at the official GEW closing event on Friday, November22nd and rewarded with 4 million Rwf in cash price courtesy of Fina Bank, KLM airline tickets and six months of free access to training and mentorship from Educat and their partners.
The pitching event will take place at Heaven Restaurant in Kiyovu, Wednesday November 20th from 5pm to 8.30 pm and will feature Flash FM in the role as MC, and there will be entertainment and live music.
