Dr. Kabilata’s new appointment was announced during a cabinet meeting held on Tuesday during which also indicated other key appointments.
Meanwhile former State Minister for Public Health and Primary Health Care Dr. Anita Asiimwe has been transferred to the University Teaching Hospital (CHUK) where she will serve in capacity as deputy director general.
The cabinet meeting also announced that former state minister for energy and water Eng. Emma-Françoise Isumbingabo will represent Rwanda as an Ambassador in South Korea. She will replace Eugene Kayihura.
Protais Mitali dropped as minister of culture and sports has been appointed as Rwanda’s Ambassador to Ethiopia resident in Addis Ababa.
He will also assume responsibilities as Rwanda’s permanent representative to the African Union, replacing long-serving envoy Joseph Nsengimana.
Cabinet appointed three permanent secretaries, including; Innocent Musabyimana for Agriculture, Beth Murora (Supreme Court), Dr Solange Itulinde Hakiba (Ministry of Health) and Fatina Mukarubibi (Natural Resources).
the senate is expected to approve most of these appointments.
