{Members of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) in Rusizi district, constituting 90% of the total population have commended the government for initiating development programs and called upon every person concerned to ensure total success in implementation and reaping from their fruition.}
Improved housing in Rusizi town, including hotels and other social protection services such as Mituelle de santé at 84% subscription are some of the success stories cited by Rusizi residents.
The residents that talked to IGIHE during the RPF Rusizi district general assembly, are however dissatisfied with the way some government programs are haphazardly implemented including Girinka Munyarwanda, VUP and Ubudehe which registered unfairness in service delivery.
Harerimana Frédéric, the Rusizi RPF chairman has revealed that RPF the achievements are below the expectations given a huge number of membership and therefore called on members to unreservedly participate in implementing such programmes without relenting.
“RPF is the foundation and engine of government activities. Members seem to have forgotten their duties and the vision of RPF. If we have 90% (of 400,859 total population) members of RPF Inkotanyi, it means that our activities should be successful at 90%.That is why we pledge to take a lead role in the development of district activities. ,” he said.
Senator Munyakabera Faustin said there would be no such shortcomings if everyone fulfilled his/her duties. He called upon members to be proactive addressing problems earlier, avoiding citizens’ complaints at the visit of president of the Republic over ineffective implementation of projects and accomplishment of responsibilities.
