{{Police has appealed to Dog owners to keep them indoors and have them vaccinated to avoid biting and likely transmitting of diseases to humans.}}
The call follows the Sunday incident in Kanombe sector of Kicukiro District, where two dogs owned by one Caleb Ndahiro, attacked and injured three girls.
The incident took place at about 2pm, when the girls aged between five and nine were passing through Ndahiro’s farm.
The victims were rushed to Masaka hospital.
Police spokesperson-central, Senior Superintendent Urbain Mwiseneza, who made the called, called upon owners of dogs to keep them indoor and vaccinate them, as a precaution.
“It is a responsibility of everyone owning a dog or other likely-dangerous domestic animals to have them vaccinated,” he stated.
Jeanette Nyiramanzi, the veterinary of Kicukiro, echoed the same call, calling on owners of such animals to bring them for vaccination.
