{A dead body of a man whose names have not been identified has been found in one of the forests of Rusoro village, Nyamabuye cell of Gatsata sector. It is suspected that the man was killed and thrown in the forest by unknown gangs.}
The dead body has been found today morning in the forest located in the middle of Gatsata and Jali sectors.
Eye witness have told IGIHE that the body has been in the forest since the morning and requested security personnel to strengthen patrols in the forest since it is not the first time a dead body is found in the same location.
“May be you can advocate for us because we are not secure in this area. Thieves hide in this forest, rob our properties and rape women and ladies passing through this path,” said Uwamahoro Console, 35.
Mukandamage Catherine, 54, owner of the land on which the dead body was found said; “It is not the first; in January 2016 another corpse was found in the same place. One week later, a baby was retrieved in my toilet where he was thrown. I think something must be done.”
She requested leaders to strengthen security since people fear to pass through the forest even during day.
The spokesperson of police in Kigali, SP Hitayezu Emmanuel said that they have not yet identified the deceased since he had no identity card.
“We have information that body of a man of about 30 years has been found in Gatsata but we have not yet identified him,” he said.
He requested security personnel in local administration to report red-spots that are infested with gangsters.
