The stadium valued at Frw40Million will be constructed at a 1.5acre piece of land in Kicukiro district, Rwanda Cricket Association (RCA) has confirmed. Construction work will be complete in only 10 months.
According to the RCA boss; cricket fraternity and the corporate sponsorship will work together to meet the budget for the new cricket ground.
The Cricket association, RCA, has signed a 10-year renewable lease with Integrated Polytechnic Regional Centre (IPRC) to build a new cricket ground also expected to host international cricket matches.
Cricket currently played competitively at international, club and school levels in Rwanda was first introduced Rwanda after the 1994 genocide.
