State House has confirmed Monday afternoon that the body of the deceased Internal Affairs Minister General Aronda Nyakarima will be arriving in the country on Wednesday.
The body of Aronda, who passed over the weekend on a Dubai bound plane while on a foreign trip, is being examined in UAE by a team of Ugandan medical experts.
The cause of the death at the moment remains a national mystery, considering that the UPDF General was in good health according to people close to him.
“It has been confirmed, the body of Gen Aronda Nyakairima will touch down at 1pm aboard Emirates on Wednesday,” read a brief communiqué from State House.
According to a preliminary funeral program, Aronda’s body will be taken at the Kololo independence Grounds for public viewing and then it will be laid before parliament.
Like earlier reported, State House confirmed that the General will be laid to rest on Saturday 19th Sept at Nyakiju in Rukungiri District. The Service will start at 9am.
