{{The archbishop of Butare Diocese, Phillip Rukamba has urged Christians to obey the message that Virgin Mary transmitted to the world when she appeared to three school girls in 1981.}}

Rukamba made the remarks 28th November, during the celebration of 31st anniversary since the occurrence of Virgin Mary in a remote village known as Kibeho of Nyaruguru District.

Since Virgin Mary appeared in 1981, Kibeho has become spiritual hub both locally and universally.

The mass brought together more than 18 000 pilgrims.

The event was attended by different people from across the world, as far as Europe and other countries and residents stressed that “it is a sign that Rwanda is blessed.”

For other pilgrims, their connection with Kibeho started since the early 1980s when the Virgin’s apparitions were first reported.

According to Catholic officials, on 15th August, 1981, Virgin Mary appeared in the area and she was crying cautioning that if Rwandans don’t repent the country will meet serious problems.

Young Girls who spoke to Virgin Marry witnessed that the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi was among the prophesied problems.

The Archbishop Phillip Rukamba urged people to bear in mind the holly message left to them.
