CAR to emulate Rwanda’s Model to reconcile religious Sects

{Religious leaders from Central Africa Republic have commended the leadership and commitment of President Kagame in reconciling Rwandans adding that this should be a model for Africa and Central Africa Republic as the later strives to bring peace and unity in the country.}

The Central African Imam Umar Kobine Layama said “Our country will follow the model for the reconstruction of Rwanda to bring peace and reconcile the people,”

He was speaking after a two-day conference in Kigali, which focused on post conflict in CAR and South Sudan’s reconstruction.

For Imam Umar Kobine, CAR needs a Republican security force made up of soldiers, gendarmes and police to restore peace.

“Certainly, the President of the Republic is in place. But she needs a nationalist and patriotic government force to disarm militia who control the country. This is the price that the peace process can take root, “he has said.

For his part, the President of the Central African religions, Reverend Nicolas Guerekoyame-Gbangou, points out that in 2012, there has been a commitment of Muslim, Protestant and Catholic to bring peace in Central Africa.

As for the current report, the duty to build peace in Central Africa is a must for a good part of the population of this country.
