CAR president decorates Rwandan soldiers

{The president of Central African Republic, Catherine Samba Panza has decorated Rwandan peacekeepers in CAR with medals and provided certificates for continued excellent contribution in their mission.}

President Panza lauded Rwandan soldiers in the battalion of RWABATT2 for their professionalism, courage and honesty demonstrated in the process of carrying out their duties.

Following armed conflicts that deepened in CAR in 2013, an estimated 900,000 people have fled the country and 5,000 people killed. Rwanda was among the first countries to send peacekeepers to CAR.

President Panza has decorated Lt. Col. Ndayizeye with the medal Grade of Ccommandeur and other officers and men were with Grade d’Officier.
Rwandan peacekeepers in CAR protect the head of state and protect other administrative entities and security installations.
