Cabinet makes new appointments

Kamanzi Jackline ,the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Gender and Family promotion has been appointed as the executive secretary of the National Women’ Council (NWC) as former mayors, Kangwagye Justus and Bahame Hassan are appointed to new duties at high government levels.

This was decided during a cabinet meeting held Wednesday in Village Urugwiro presided over by President Paul Kagame.

Kangwagye Justus ,the former mayor of Rulindo district who recently ended his two terms has been appointed as the head of decentralization department at Rwanda Governance Board(RGB).

Bahame Hassan, former mayor of Rubavu district has been appointed the head of public development and social welfare in the Ministry of Local Government.

Bahame Hassan was on March ,2015 held by security personnel over alleged bribery. On March 27th 2015, he and his administrative committee were requested to resign by the advisory committee of Rubavu district which accused them of malpractices including illegal offering of tenders of Gisenyi inappropriately.

On 25th June, 2015; Rubavu court of high instance declared him innocent and ruled his release.

Kangwagye Justus was once a coordinator of Youth Volunteers in Community Policing.

Wednesday’s cabinet decisions appointed Jackline Kamanzi who has been the permanent secretary in MIGEPROF for one month and a half to the executive secretary of NWC. She has been replaced by Umutoni Gatsinzi Nadine.

Jackline Kamanzi was appointed as MIGEPROF permanent secretary on March, 18th, 2016 and is replaced after 41 days of service.

Kalisa Edward, the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Sports and Culture (MINISPOC) is among leaders appointed to new duties where he has been appointed to head the department of public labor in Rwanda Governance Board.
