Residents in Nyamagabe District have hailed construction of Buruhukiro Health Centre saying it’s owed to Good Governance.
Residents said that apart from getting jobs in construction activies, they are also aware that once completed, the centre will improve health services in the region.
Among 17 sectors of Nyamagabe District, only Buruhukiro sector lacked a Health Centre.
The District Mayor, Mugisha Philebert noted that the centre marks an impact of good governance on socio-economic development among residents.
He added that decentralization would go hand in hand with making citizens access needed infrastructures toward sustainable development.
Residents of Buruhukiro used to work 10 Km to get to nearest Health Centers.
Activities of constructing Buruhukiro Health Centre started in October, 2012 and completion is expected in May, 2013.
Over Frw300 Million was used in building activities.
