Burkina Faso Interested in One Cow per Family Program

{{The One-Cow per farmily Program has attracted attention by the visiting delegation from Burkina Faso.}}

The delegation in the country for five days includes Minister of Livestock and Fisheries in Burkina Faso, Jérémy Tinga Ouedraogo accompanied by two experts.

Ouedraogo noted, “We want to learn how we can increase and stabilise production using the experience from Rwanda”.

On thursday, the delegation was hosted by Dr. Agnes Kalibata Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources.

She told the delegation that one-cow per family program was a home-grown solution initiated by government to respond to challenges the population face.

The deleegation is scheduled to visit beneficiaries of the One Cow per Family Program in Kicukiro and Gicumbi districts.

They will also visit milk collection centres, farmers’ cooperatives, and farmer feed mills.
