{A one Rushingabigwi, 23, from Cyanika sector in Burera district has died after being mugged and stabbed with machetes knives by unknown people.}
The cyclist was killed in early in the morning of 13th March, 2016 in Rwibikonde of Kayenzi cell in Kagogo sector. The dead body was laid under the bridge by killers. The Northern Province police spokesperson, IP Gasasira Innocent has told IGIHE that killers are not yet identified but suspects are people he spent the whole day with sharing beer.
“He died after being stabbed with sharp objects several times.
The investigation is ongoing to track culprits but it is expected that he was killed by people they shared beer with for the whole day since the killing took place after leaving the bar,” he said.
He appealed on citizens living near the Rwanda-Uganda border to keep away from drug deals since it negatively affects citizens’ lives and security in general.
Residents from Cyanika sector said that the deceased was a single young man who recently completed construction of his house.
