Bugesera district offices construction set to resume

{Following suspension of activities after the arrest of three Bugesera district officials in March 2015 over alleged embezzlement and illegal hiring of contractors, construction of Bugesera district Rwf1.05billion offices, which started in 2012, has resumed. }

The officials arrested on 14th March 2015 including Munyanziza Zéphanie, the Executive Secretary, Martin Bimenyimana, sales and marketing officer and Uzaribara Sylvestre the director of marketing committee, brought to halt the construction activities with accusations of improper handling of the project.

Talking to IGIHE, the mayor of Bugesera district, Rwagaju Louis, said that construction activities are set to recommence. “We have already evaluated the completed works bid of the first contractor and in the process of looking for another contractor that will complete the remaining construction activities .We expect construction to be completed by the end of 2015-2016 financial year,” he said.
