The tournament which started in March by conducting different road shows across the country was concluded in a colorful event in Expo Ground Gikondo, Kigali.
Melody won the 8th edition of the competition far dominating his nine competitors in terms of fans support and thrilling revelers in different road shows across the country and at final event.
Melody went away with a prize of Rwf20 million while Christopher Muneza took the second place with Rwf4.5 million plus Rwf15 million of an artiste who got many votes through fans’ SMS.
Active came third taking away Rwf4 million, Uncle Austin came fourth taking home a cheque of Rwf3.5 million while Queen Cha came fifth winning Rwf3 million.
Organised by Bralirwa and East African Promoters (EAP) the competition attracted ten artistes which are Young Grace, Christopher, Bruce Melody, Uncle Austin, Khalfan, Jay C, Queen Cha, Just Family, Active and Mico The Best.
