Death in Conakry of Marcel Rudasingwa, representative of the UN Secretary General for Ebola

{Guinean News sites are reporting that a UN official was found dead this Monday, November 17, 2014 in his room in Conakry. }

Marcel Rudasingwa of Rwandan nationality was appointed by Ban Ki Moon as manager of Ebola crisis in Guinea in October.

Guinean government source confirmed to Africaguinee.com this information without more details. For the moment, we do not know more about the circumstances of his death, reports the same News site.

Marcel Rudasingwa was appointed in Guinea by the Secretary General of the United Nations, within the framework of the constitution of the United Nations Mission for emergency action against Ebola (MINUAUCE)

Mr. Rudasingwa has worked for nearly 20 years for the United Nations Fund for Children (UNICEF), where he held various management positions and leadership in Kenya, Mali, Guinea and Denmark.
