{A baby’s body has been this morning found in a water channel in Mumararungu village, Rwezamenyo sector, Rwezamenyo sector of Nyarugenge district near ‘Ku Gasoko’.}
The body has been found around 7:00 hours in the water channel separating Nyakabanda and Rwezamenyo sectors shoved in a small bucket of OMO.
It is suspected that the baby has been thrown there early in the morning.
The local leader of Mumararungu village has told IGIHE the corpse has been seen by residents who were heading for their jobs and alerted leaders who immediately informed security personnel.
Police has, in collaboration with local leaders, embarked on an investigation working with residents to track the culprit.
Police has taken the body for burial.
