The guard identified as Charles Nsabimana 43, was an employee of Intersec Security Company was killed early morning on Sunday.
Local residents passing by noticed someone lying on the ground with a piece of cloth covered on his face and later noticed its was a dead guard at the bank located just a kilometre away from Save catholic church.
Supt. Hubert Gashagaza the Police Spokesperson for the Southern Province told IGIHE that investigations are being conducted to find the assailants.
Before Charles Nsabimana met his death, he was resident at Muhororo cell in Ruhashya Sector of Huye District. He is survived with an expectant wife and three children.
Although Intersect Security company guards are assigned guns, by the time Nsabimana was attacked, he only had a herding stick.
