Banque Populaire du Rwanda (BPR) has contributed over Frw38million to help in activities at Nyanza memorial site where over 11,000 victims were laid to rest.
The contribution was made during BPR’s marking of 19th commemoration of Genocide against ethnic Tutsi’s.
The bank honoured its 26 staff members that were killed during the genocide in 1994.
Mucyo Jean de Dieu,the Executive Secretary of the Rwanda National Commission against Genocide hailed BPR’s contribution to support survivors of the Genocide against Tutsi that claimed over a million lives in 1994.
He also urged the BPR directors most of whom are non Rwandan nationals to help in senstising people abroad about the Genocide against Tutsi and how Rwanda has continued to positively recover from the effects of the Genocide.
Mucyo also praised BPR for its continuous support to activities that aim at transforming the livihoods of survivors of the Genocide.
