Kayirebwa a celebrated local music icon had filed a lawsuit against {Rwandair } for reneging on provisions of an Agreement that gave limited powers to {Rwandair } in the use of her music for its promotional works.

In her lawsuit,Kayirebwa seeks compensation amounting to over Frw 100million.
{Rwandair } had submitted to court challenging that the song used in its promotional works was not of Kayirebwa claiming that there was no evidence to prove that indeed the song belonged to Kayirebwa as she claimed.
Court thus sought the services of an Audio expert to determine the authenticity of the song used in the promotional works of {Rwandair}.
The delays in finding an audio expert resulted in adjourning of the hearing several times and the rejection of some audio experts presented to court.
Hearing of the case is thus expected to commence after the determination that the song used by {Rwandair} was that of Kayirebwa.
