{{IGIHE has learnt that on 8th January, 2013 a ministerial-level meeting will take place in Addis Ababa to discuss the deployment of the envisaged Neutral International Force (NIF) in the eastern part of the DRC.}}
The Meeting will also explore enhancement of the Expanded Joint Verification Mechanism (EJVM), as a follow-up to the consultation on the same subject that took place, at the AU headquarters, on 27 and 28 December 2012.
According to the statement released by AU high Commission for peace and Security, the commissioner of the said branch is expected to hold discussion with Kigali to see how Rwanda can better used its seat in UNSC to further support the initiative of solving long lasting conflicts in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
