Ambassador Igor Cesar presents credentials to represent Rwanda in Slovakia

During the ceremony held yesterday, Ambassador Igor Cesar conveyed good wishes message from President Paul Kagame to his Slovakian counterpart.

President Kiska, 56, took office in June 2014 and his mandate will end June 2019.
He welcomed the new ambassador Igor Cesar and expressed willingness for cooperation between both governments.

Ambassador Cesar also held talks with different high government officials on improving bilateral cooperation where they agreed on drawing emphasis on ICT, education through offering scholarships to Rwandan students, exchange of students and university lecturers and agriculture among others.

During the ceremony, more credential letters were presented by different diplomats to represent the interests of their countries including Colombia, Guyana, Peru, and Tanzania.

Ambassador Igor also represents Rwanda in German, Tcheque Republic, Pologne, Romania, Liechtenstein, and Ukraine.

Rwanda and Kenya are the only African countries selected to work with Slovakia in the program of funding development projects.

With over 5 million people and 49,000-kilometer square, Slovakia is situated at the central part of Europe.
