{{Airtel Rwanda has today launched a new, exciting and transformative product dubbed Airtel Zone, a voice product aimed to offer real-time, low and transparent rates for on-net (Airtel to Airtel) voice calls.}}
Customers on the Airtel Network will experience the lowest call rates in Rwanda to date.
Speaking at the launch, Airtel Rwanda Managing Director, Mr. Teddy Bhullar said the product was yet another innovation by Airtel to increase the quality of communication for Airtel customers.
He stated, “For the first time in the Rwanda Market, customers will experience unparalleled transparency on the rates they pay for each call.
They will be able to see the cost for each call they make. With Airtel Zone, there is no more need for guesswork as to what you are paying.”
Airtel Zone will be available across the entire country and customers will enjoy rates for as low as Rwf1 per minute to a maximum of 31 francs per minute depending on the time of day and the number of customers calling on the network.
In addition, rates are configured to change on an hourly basis based on the number of customers calling at the same time from the same location.
Also as an industry first, customers who have subscribed to Airtel Zone will be able to verify the rate available to them before they place a phone call.
To sign up for Airtel Zone, customers can dial *135# and start saving money right away.
