
Airtel Rwanda has on 5th April 2015, opened a new service center in Kamembe sector, Rusizi District. Strategically located near the border of DRC, this is the sixth Airtel service center that has been opened in Rwanda.
The function which was presided over by Frederic Harerima Mayor of Rusizi district, was attended by officials from Airtel Rwanda, representatives from Rusizi Town Council as well as members of the Rusizi business community.
Airtel Rwanda has been on a drive to enhance customer experience by continuing to launch more customer care centers and distributor shops countrywide. With four shops in Kigali, one in Munsanze and Rusizi having the newest shop, Airtel Rwanda has promised to unveil more shops in the months to come.
The Airtel shops offer a bouquet of services and will see customers enjoy fast and convenient customer service with all their needs taken care of as quickly as possible in a welcoming and customer-friendly environment.
The shops also offer exclusive services such as, Airtel Money transactions, mobile data services, sim replacements and high-end products from Apple, Samsung, Konka, Nokia, Tecno and Huawei, thanks to the partnerships that have been forged between Airtel and these companies.

Speaking on behalf of the Airtel Rwanda Managing Director, Alex Mugisha HOD for customer service, said that extending the Airtel network services signals a real stake in the ground for leadership in the telecommunications industry.
“It has been our endeavor to enhance the customer experience for our customers. Through our service centers found in central and accessible locations, convenient opening hours, and superior merchandise, we have an opportunity to give our customers the overall retail experience that Airtel has to offer. The launch of more shops around the country is a significant achievement for us and underlines the importance of engaging with our consumers on a daily basis,” Mr. Alex added.
Guest of honor and Mayor of Rusizi, Frederic Harerima, applauded Airtel for “the manner in which the company is continually working to expand its boundaries through excellent customer service delivery and infuse innovative thinking.”
