Airtel Rwanda through Imbuto Foundation has awarded scholarships worth $6000 to 20 students in Ruhango District. The scholarship is a fulfillment of Airtel’s promise to reward Women Change Makers in Society during the Airtel Women’s day digital campaign that saw first lady Jeanette Kagame emerge among top 3 winners through her work with Imbuto Foundation.
Imbuto Foundation, a nonprofit organization championed by her Excellency the first lady Jeannette Kagame which aims to engage, empower and educate will be the custodian of the scholarship.
Speaking at the handover to students of Ecole Secondaire de Kinazi, Airtel Rwanda Managing Director, Mr. Teddy Bhullar said, “Education remains key to the development of the country and we are honored to be able to empower the young generation to unlock their potential through providing the financial support needed for them to complete their education.”
