The minister of youth and ICT, Jean Philbert Nsengimana has lauded the youth of Adventist Church for their contribution towards building the country.
He voiced appreciation yesterday during community work carried out by Seventh Day Adventist Church Christians at Kinamba in Kigali, where about five thousand youth participated. The community work comes at a time when the youth have dedicated the month to engaging in different development activities.
After clearing bushes and de-silting the Kinamba round about, Nsengimana revealed that such activities are not only reserved for the ministry but regards all Rwandans especially the young generation, the country’s strength.
“The community work is an activity in which Rwandans combine efforts. It is pleasant to see this wide number of youth combining efforts for the progress of the country,” he appreciated.
Talking to IGIHE, Pastor Rutikanga Jean Nepo observed that there is a great relationship between the state and the church since both intend to lead people targeting a common vision.
“It is our responsibility to build the nation. Christianity comes after our Rwandan nationality, “said Rutikanga.
Various churches participate in the annual Youth Month where they engage in community work, supporting vulnerable people and rehabilitating roads. This year’s edition started on 7th November, 2015.
