Early in the morning of this Saturday, a prison guard died in Huye district Southern Province after his fellow gunned him down.Harindintwali Straton shot dead Dusabimana Jean after getting drunk. Says the Spokesperson of Rwanda Correctional Service (RCA), SIP Hillary Sengabo.
During an interview with IGIHE, SIP Hillary Sengabo said that the murder resulted from drunkard behavior shown after sharing alcoholic drink.
The culprit confirmed that he was a friend of the deceased and attributed the killing to drunkard behavior. Explained Hillary.
RCA spokesperson declared that it is the first time such case happens adding RCA is going to take strategic measures to gauge and control prison guards behavior.
He appealed on prison guards not to take alcoholic drink while they are on duty to avoid negative behavior .
RCA expresses condolences to the bereaved family of the victim Dusabimana.
