{A new greeting has emerged across the country following the recent confirmation for president Kagame to lead after 2017.The new greeting is “Happy Happy” which has to receive the reply of “Long live our president”.}
President Kagame in his speech held in the midnight of the 1st January opening the new year 2016 he revealed that he can only accept to lead Rwandans after 2017 following more than 3 million citizen petitions that ushered the recent vote for referendum to confirm constitution review. Article 101 regarding term limits was modified to allow president Kagame have a chance of leading Rwandans after the expiration of the second term.
A total of 94.3 % of Rwandans voted yes during the referendum to testify what they have been requesting president Kagame during the elections held between 17th and 18th December, 2015.
President Kagame responded in favor of Rwandans request on 1st January where he accepted to lead after 2017.
“You clearly expressed your choices for the future of our country. The process allowed us the time to make certain that the proposed changes had merit and wisdom. You requested me to lead the country again after 2017. Given the importance and consideration you attach to this, I can only accept,” he said.
As revealed by Aimable Ngendahayo, the leader of Happy Generation Rwanda; “We invented the greeting as an effort to celebrate the good speech we received from our president,” said Aimable Ngendahayo.
