Genocide Fugitive Eugene Nkuranyabahizi Arrested in Norway

{{A top Rwanda Genocide suspect Eugene Nkuranyabahizi has been arrested in Norway after 13 years in hiding.}}

He was netted in Rogaland area where neighbours say has been living for more than a decade.

Siboyintore Jean Bosco Head of Genocide Fugitives Tracking Unit told IGIHE that Nkuranyabahizi has been on a list of wanted fugitives.

He is allegedly linked to several murders in areas of Nkakwa, Kibangu Cyahinda and Kanyaru river area in the former {Commune Nyakizu} (current Nyabihu & Nyanza districts).

Nkuranyabahizi was working as a Teacher and was a member of the MDR-power political party. He is accused of working with Interahamwe militia to kill ethnic Tutsi’s that were attempting to cross over to Burundi.

Rwanda is expected to request for extradition of the suspect to be tried in Rwanda like Charles Bandora deported back to Rwanda recently.
