The event held at Chez Lando Hotel indicated that the microfiance has so far made profits worth Frw151Million in the past twelve months.
Ngamije Delphin the institutions Director general revealed that over 63800 clients have registered with the institution. In 2012, clients statistics stood at 25500.
He said the institution has also expanded its footprint in the country by establishing branches in Rubavu and Rusizi districts.
Ngamije noted that Duterimbere allows its clients to open-up savings accounts which are free of charges.
“Long Term saving allows clients choose an amount to be blocked for their own benefits. We have also adopted modern technology which has proven to be a secured way to reach customers. This has propelled speedy and effective service delivery.”
Duterimbere MFI licensed in 2005 by the central bank of Rwanda BNR, has in total 17 branches and about 24 cashiers. They are able to provide loans for every client with a coverage of 80% in rural Rwanda.
