RBC Ready to Handle Trauma Cases During Commemoration

{{Rwanda Biomedical Centre has announced strategies to deal with trauma cases during the commemoration of the 19th Anniversary of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi.}}

RBC said that a big number of women (62%) and youth (63%), are most vulnerable to Trauma cases during Commemoration activities.

RBC said it has trained about 100 volunteers of Croix Rouge-Rwanda who will help those that will suffer from trauma.

Dr Yvonne Kayiteshonga, the head of mental health division at Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) also revealed that about 150 students will be there to provide counseling services adding that a number of people at the cell level have been trained.

RBC revealed 117 as a hotline where residents may call to request an emergency help.

Gatabazi Claver from CNLG said every Rwandans should be prepared for the commemoration period.
