Over 600 accidents have occurred in the period of only thirty days in the country, Police has revealed.
Statistics also indicated that 54 accidents were very serious that claimedlives and left many critically injured.
Inspector General of Police Emmanuel Gasana told Journalists during a press conference on March 22, that over 98% of the accidents involved motorcyclists common with reckless driving and disobeying traffic laws.
IGP gasana emphasized that motocycle is only allowed to carry one passenger and must wear a helmet. He added that it is illegal for a mother carrying a baby to ride on a motocycle.
He called upon Rwandans to be vigilant and help contain such accidents that have claimed more lives and left several people disfigured.
