S. Sudan Police Chief Hails Rwanda’s Peacekeeping Effort

The South Sudan police chief, Gen Pieng Deng Kuol has said Rwanda is the model country in Africa for its significant role in peacekeeping missions.

Gen. Pieng made the remarks today in Kigali where he is on a 3 days visit to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Rwanda National Police especially in areas of capacity building.

He said that cooperating with Rwanda is very important due to the progress Rwanda has made in different sectors including security and its contribution to international peacekeeping missions.

The Inspector General of Police, Emmanuel K. Gasana said since the signing of Cooperation Agreement, Rwanda has trained over 20 South Sudan Police officers adding Rwanda will continue to train more officers from S. Sudan.
