Genocide suspect Léon Mugesera is expected in court today after has told court yesterday that he is unwell saying he is in a state of convalescence and needs to rest and recover.
Mugesera who is jailed for his alleged role in the 1994 genocide against Tutsi explained that the medication he is taking causes some adverse side effects, including lack of concentration.
In his response, the prosecutor stated that the presentation of trial due to illness should refer to a medical prescription.
He asked the judge to dismiss Mugesera’s application.
