A motorcyclist died on spot in when he was crashed by an oil tanker on Friday at Gatsata in Gasabo district of Kigali city.
The accident happened when an oil tanker tried to avoid hitting school students walking along the road, in the process, the tanker rammed into the Motorcycle Reg: RC725R which was enroute from Karuruma.
Regis Kabano the turn-boy on the oil tanker told IGIHE that as students were walking along the road, one of them was walking in the middle of the road, so the driver tried to avoid hitting the student but also he saw an approaching motorcycle which he also tried to dodge.
However, the motorcyclist crashed into the rear tyres of the truck and died instantly.
The local authorites told IGIHE that they had not yet indentified the accident victim.
The truck driver immidately reported the matter to Police.
