FAWE Advises Girls to Remain Focused

The call was made during yesterday’s meeting organized by Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE-Rwanda Chapter).

Speaking to media Rhona Nyakulama, the. Chairperson, FAWE Rwanda chapter, said that members of the group have managed to construct a modern house which is rented Rwf 30 Million per month.

Nyakurama was commenting on the 2012 achievements of FAWE-Rwanda.

She added that FAWE has sponsored about 13 girls to access Higher Education.

However,Nyakurama noted that currently FAWE is facing challenges of supporting all vulnerable children due to the fact that some donors suspended their support.

Through FAWE support, about 500 Girls are expected to be enrolled in Higher learning institutions by, 2017.

The Forum for African Women Educationalists-Rwanda Chapter is a non-profit-making, non-political, non-governmental voluntary organization that brings together all Rwandans interested in promoting girls’ and women’s education.

It is a chapter of the Pan-African NGO, FAWE, founded in 1992 by African women education ministers.
