Contractors in charge of building Akagera fencing line have said the fencing activities will be completed by the end of March.
This was revealed to Rwanda’s Minister of Trade and Industry Francois Kanimba during his visit in Akagera National Park.
The 2.5 meters high metallic mesh crossed by three horizontally electrified cables will cover a distance of 120KM, at a cost of US$ 2,764,436.
Kanimba has asked residents of the area to ensure the protection and sustainability of that fence aimed at reducing human-wildlife conflicts around Akagera National Park.
