8500 Children Rescued from Hard Labour

About 8,500 children have been rescued from extreme poverty and hard labor that suppresses children denying them a chance to accomplish education.

The children have been rescued by REACH-a research project
REACH(Rwanda Education Alternatives for Children) started operating in 2009 covering 7 districts; Nyarugenge, Nyamasheke, Nyaruguru, Rubavu, Nyagatare, Gicumbi and Kayonza.

Muramutsa Felix who is an official at REACH project has assured that relieved children will no longer be involved in hard work that deprives them of their rights.
