The fourteen senior government officials’ delegation is led by the Malawian Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Grace Maseko, will visit Rwanda, Uganda and Lesotho.
Meeting with the Rwandan Minister of Local government, the Malawian delegation was briefed on Rwanda’s decentralization policy, performance based management “Imihigo” as well as community development and social affairs programs.
Minister Grace Maseko said that Rwanda is popular for its vibrant Information and Communication Technology policy.
“ICT is important for improved financial management and service delivery both at central and local levels and countries are moving towards e-government”.
