Registering Deaths Important For National Planning

Rwanda’s Minister of Justice/Attorney General Tharcisse Karugarama, has said that having death records facilitates the government in general and the population particularly to have a view on planning and how some deaths could be barred.

“people are not familiar when it comes to registering deaths records, but same people are happy when it comes to registering birth records, people could say there’s no need to register someone who is dead. It helps us to know the data of our locality as long as long as planning is concerned and how to prevent the origin of some deaths in some locality,” said Karugarama.
