Residents of El Salam camp were presented with scholastic materials, office furniture and classroom furniture- under project QIP-CD-CIMIC-2012-001.
Under another project code named QIP-CD-CIMIC-2012-002, the battalion presented 4 classrooms including a Ventilated Improved Pit latrine also at El Salam camp.
The battalion also built a perimeter wall fence at the El Zahra Secondary school under project QIP-CD-CIMIC-2012-007.
Lt Col Christophe Rutaremara told the gathering that the Rwandan battalion had to sacrifice to improve Education in the area they are deployed.
The Ag JSR, Governor of Central Darfur thanked the Rwandan Forces for their sacrifice in providing infrastructure and other services that help the general population and urged residents to handle with care the infrastructure provided to them.
