Residents of Gasharu Cell in Kinyinya Sector in Gasabo District have demanded an establishement of a modern market saying the existing one is totally substandard.
Traders in that market, have said lack of modern market prevents them from working daily.
Tree stems are erected onto which they spread their merchandise while other products are spread on a bare ground.
During rainy season, some traders in the area say they prefer not to take their merchandise to the market preferring to remain at home.
Trading resumes when rains stop.
Most of the traders told IGIHE that they fulfill the obligation of paying taxes to the government but its not understabdable why district authorities do not consider their situation.
Kinyinya market usually attracts over 1000 people some of them travel from nearby Sector of Bumbogo.
The Executive Secretary of Kinyinya Sector, Raymond Chrétien Mberabahizi has told IGIHE that.
”Plans to build Kinyinya market are under review by the leaders of the District.”
“We hope that the construction of this market will start by August 2013, ” He said.
