Mr. Callixte Muneza has married Libérate Nkundukozera. It is reported that the father of Nkundukozera killed father of Muneza during the 1994 genocide against ethnic Tutsi.
The couple living in Rusizi district says their marriage is a sign of unity.
Nyaminani Gratien the father of Nkundukozera has been released from prison.
Mukakabera the mother of Muneza has also noted that its no longer relevant to live with anger against each other because of the past.
She says marriage of their children is a step forward in unity and reconciliation.
Couple has said they decided to marry and exceed the sad story of the genocide that divided them because the girl’s father has orphaned her boyfriend.
