Miss Iradukunda had been arrested on Sunday 8th May 2022.
Following her arrest, Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) revealed that the lady who was crowned Miss Rwanda 2017 was detained over allegedly tampering with investigation in a case of Dieudonné Ishimwe, the organizer of Rwanda’s beauty pageant who is facing charges related to sexual abuse.
Miss Iradukunda appeared before Kicukiro Primary Court for the first time on 24th May 2022.
After reading the ruling, Miss Iradukunda was overwhelmed with joy and hugged friends in celebration of her release.
