The ruling was read on 24th April 2022.
It is said that the incident happened in the night of 28th March 2022 in Rutonde Village, Bijyojyo Cell of Ndaro Sector of Ngororero District in Western Province.
Sources reveal that Munganyinka clashed with her husband identified as François Baraturwango alias Mitera and hit him with a hoe on the head as he fell down.
As the Prosecution revealed, Munganyinka pleaded guilty of the murder crime and asked for leniency.
Article 107 of the Law N° 68/2018 of 30/08/2018 determining penalties for murder crimes stipulates that intentional murder carries a maximum sentence (life in jail) which can be reduced depending on the circumstances.
