Stolen motorcycle recovered in Kamonyi

Those arrested are Vincent Nkuriza and Emmnauel Mushinzimana.

The duo allegedly stole the motorcycle, TVS RF 415P on February 14, in Nyamate, Bugesera District after ambushing and assaulting one Alex Mushinzimana, a taxi-moto operator, at about 8:30pm.

The Southern region Police spokesperson, Superintendent of Police (SP) Theobald Kanamugire said that the arrest of the suspects followed a theft complaint filed by the victim and information provided by residents of Runda, during investigations.

“A resident of Muganza reported a person, who was looking for someone to buy a motorcycle. The resident suspected that the motorcycle was stolen and called the Police. They first arrested Nkuriza with the motorcycle,” SP Kanamugire said.

“Nkuriza then led Police officers to his accomplice, Emmanuel Mushinzimana, who was also taken into custody.

This is the third stolen motorcycle to be recovered this week in which scores have been arrested.
