Rwanda and Luxembourg enjoy relations in different areas.
Recently, both countries signed a bilateral cooperation agreement on the sidelines of Africa Microfinance Week where they will work together to support Rwanda in further developing the Kigali International Financial Centre (KIFC).
It is an addition to the double tax avoidance agreement (DTAA) signed early October 2021. The latter serves as an incentive for businesses and investors in both regions as it eliminates the double payment of taxes on both income and capital, but also aids transparency as it serves as a deterrent against tax evasion and avoidance.
Elfadil who is ending her tenure, was elected to a four-year term in 2016. She is also a member of the executive board of the World Anti-Doping Agency.
Among others, Elfadil has worked with the Association of Women for Rural Development and Immigration, Women, Children and Family. She has participated in the Women’s Rally for Peace and led workshops on peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
